Adult Forum Programs
Adult Forum takes place in the Great Hall between the two morning services on Sundays (9:45 - 10:20). Programs offer a balance of subject matter, including information about mission and ministry activities at Christ Church; programs dealing with Biblical studies, matters of faith, and our Anglican traditions; and programs related to humanitarian issues and our role as Christians and Episcopalians in the world at large.

"Living Our Baptismal Covenant"
This year our Lenten Forum series (9:30 each Sunday in the Great Hall) will follow the theme of "Living our Baptismal Covenant." Each Sunday the program will address one of the five tenets of the Baptismal Covenant as expressed in the five questions answered by the congregation in the service of Holy Baptism (BCP, pages 302-3). The programs will be presented according to the following schedule:
February 21
"Will you continue in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of the bread, and in the prayers?"
Representatives from the congregation will talk about their participation in Christ Church programs such as Education for Ministry (EFM), weekly Bible Study, and Daughters of the King (DOK), and the ways these programs help them affirm this tenet in their lives.
February 28
"Will you persevere in resisting evil, and, whenever you fall into sin, repent and return to the Lord?"
The Rev. Scott West will explore the practices of penance and reconciliation in the Episcopal Church, including the service for Reconciliation of a Penitent and the prayers of confession in Rites I & II in the Book of Common Prayer.
March 7
"Will you seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving your neighbor as yourself?"
Representatives from the congregation will talk about their involvement in active mission trips and how these experiences outside of their normal routine have affected their day-to-day practice of this tenet.
March 14
"Will you proclaim by word and example the Good News of God in Christ?"
The Rev. Scott Russell will explore the life and ministry of St. Patrick, who took the Good News of Christ to Ireland and spread the Word without lifting a sword.
March 21
"Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?"
The Middle School and High School Sunday School groups will lead this program.
