Order of the Daughers of the King

The Saint Elizabeth Chapter of Daughters of the King was formed at Christ Church in 1997. Members have participated with other chapters on the diocesan level with opportunities for involvement in regional and national events.

Our Chapter is open to any women interested in sharing the unique bonds of Christian commitment through prayer, service and fellowship. We meet twice a month at the church. For days and times check "The Compass", the monthly newsletter and the weekly Sunday bulletin schedule. We invite anyone interested in joining a caring, spiritual community to contact the church office 552-2411.

Christ Church's Men's Group

The Men's group meets most months either to eat, chat and be merry or they attack a project. The different events are announced in the Compass newsletter, weekly email or in the Sunday bulletins.

On Sunday, June 6, 2010 the Christ Church Men's Group will paddle the New River from Bissett Park in Radford to the Peppers Ferry bridge on Rt.114. I have reserved the Diocesan canoes and gear for these dates, and the River Adventure Program (RAP) staff is going to help me with teaching and leadership! There are two mandatory trip rules; YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SWIM and YOU MUST PROPERLY WEAR A LIFE JACKET WHILE ON OR IN THE WATER. Because equipment is limited you will need to register for either trip by calling me at home or via email no later than Thursday June 3rd. My contact info is: 540-951-2454/genoi@vt.edu. After you register I will provide you with gear and clothing recommendations and directions to Dudley's Landing in Radford.
